The last person wanted in the Community Marathon shooting turned himself into the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon.
Lieutenant Scott Hall said Quayshawn Jamaine Rogers, 21, of Roanoke Rapids, surrendered in the presence of his attorney, Jamal Summey.
Summey said Rogers' parents, who were wanted their son to turn himself in, were also with him. "I didn't want him to answer any questions without me being there."
Summey said he will represent Rogers throughout the proceedings in his case and will have him pleead not guilty.
Rogers faces charges of attempted murder, attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in the shooting of 29-year-old Kevin Ingram.
Rogers was jailed on $100,000 bond and has a June 12 court date.
