A Sunday traffic stop in Hollister resulted in the seizure of nearly a quarter pound of marijuana.

Deputy T.M. Sewell of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office observed a man later identified as Antonio Bernard Richardson allegedly make a traffic violation and pulled him, Major Bruce Temple said.

With assistance from Deputy R.M. Brown and his dog Mallie, the officers found 112.5 grams of marijuana in the vehicle.

Richardson, 26, of Hollister, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was jailed on $11,000 bond and has a July 17 court date.
