A Littleton man has been charged in a sexual assault involving a minor child.

Detective Obert Wiltsie said the Halifax County Sheriff's Office received a report November 3 of last year in which the victim, who was under the age of 13, knew the suspect.

Investigation by Wiltsie and Detective Chris Scott led to the arrest of 61-year-old Carlton Lee on a charge of indecent liberties with a minor.

He was arrested January 9 and received a $15,000 bond. He has a January 29 court date.
