The Roanoke Rapids Fire Department's participation in Fire Safety Week is underway.
Today the fire department hosted children from Rosemary Methodist Church — a group of 3-year-olds this morning and a group of 4- and 5-year-olds this afternoon.
The fire department has a full slate of programs in association with the week throughout this month.
