Premier Boulevard-Highway 125 projects

The Premier Boulevard extension project is expected to be completed this fall while the Highway 125 widening project is expected to be completed by the fall of 2021.

Scott said she will work with the Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District on sewer improvements along the Premier Boulevard extension route.

PNC Bank

Scott also told the board PNC Bank is closing its branch on Hamilton Street in Roanoke Rapids and will consolidate with its bank located off Julian R. Allsbrook Highway in the Oakland Shopping Center.

She said there is an opportunity for reuse of the Hamilton Street location as a call center and she will be working to identify potential clients interested in the building.

The closing of the bank is imminent, she said.
