The following upcoming events are scheduled at the Center for Energy Education located at 460 Airport Road in Roanoke Rapids:
Monday
The center will hold the 2020 C4EE Environmental Lecture Series to learn about environmental topics that affect communities in the state.
The series will kick-off at 6 p.m. with Why Climate Change Matters for NC led by Professor Walter A. Robinson, Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences at North Carolina State University.
Tuesday
The center will host a Financial Planning and Literacy Workshop for the community. The workshop is free and will begin at 6 p.m.
Attendees with money questions about life insurance, annuities, investments, and more will have the opportunity to receive answers from experts.
March 18
The center, in partnership with Roanoke Electric Cooperative, will host a Sustainable Forestry Landowner Workshop beginning at 9 a.m.
Are you a farmer or forest landowner? Local natural resource agencies will discuss their programs and services. The U.S. Forest Service Climate Hub will present on climate change and the potential affects on agriculture and forests. Lunch will be provided.
