The Center for Energy Education has expanded its online platform to offer a new online learning page to its website for students and lifelong learners.

“We are hoping to supplement the work teachers are doing by providing a continuous learning platform for students while they are away from school due to COVID-19,” said Mozine Lowe, C4EE executive director. “We realize this current situation may present a challenge at times, and we are here to offer some unique ways to reach your students,” said Lowe.

The entire web page is dedicated to STEM and renewable energy activities that students can participate in from home.

There will be new educational content uploaded weekly, along with interactive games, and online quizzes.

“We are pleased to be able to assist in bringing these educational opportunities directly to the homes of our communities’ students during these complicated times,” said Georg Veit, C4EE board chairman. “Our students are our future, and we should take every effort to support their continued education on topics such as renewable energy,” said Veit.

The C4EE will provide classes via livestream every Wednesday at 10 a.m. on its Facebook page, YouTube channel, and website.

The classes open an opportunity for people from everywhere to participate.

These livestreamed courses cover a variety of renewable energy and healthy living topics taught by local instructors and others from around the nation.

Instructional videos for students will adhere to the Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core Standards.

The C4EE invites educators to sign-up to use their platform to teach a 30-minute segment for online learners.
