Halifax County has added two more positive COVID-19 cases today, health system Director Bruce Robistow said in an update.

That brings the total of positive cases, as of 10:30 this morning, to 16.

Robistow said approximately 50 percent of the people who tested positive have recovered.

Northampton County

In its update late Tuesday afternoon, the Northampton County Health Department reported there are 54 positive cases.

The additional case is in isolation.

“Currently, the majority of all cases continue to have only mild symptoms with many being asymptomatic,” the health department said and six of the 54 people have been deemed recovered.

Further testing has been done and individual results are pending.
