Halifax County added an additional positive test result for COVID-19 today, public health system Director Bruce Robistow said in an update.

This brings the total to 20.

The health department continues to admonish residents to stay home, practice social distancing and wash their hands.

Northampton County

Currently, there are 57 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, the county’s health department reported in its Thursday evening update.

The two additional cases are in isolation. 

Currently, the majority of all cases continue to have only mild symptoms with many being asymptomatic.

Seven out of the 57 cases have been deemed recovered.

Further testing has been done and individual results are pending.
