The Halifax County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the commissioners meeting room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse at 10 N. King Street in Halifax.

This meeting will involve budget presentations and discussions.

Consistent with Executive Order 121, issued by the Governor on March 27, 2020, related to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance in the meeting room will be limited.

For this reason, those parties scheduled to address the board about budget requests will be required to wait in the hallway outside the meeting room to be called.

Capacity in the hallway will be limited to 10 people and social distancing will be observed.

When called, no more than three people will be allowed to enter the meeting room and social distancing will be observed.

Otherwise, public attendance in the meeting room and the hallway will not be allowed. A live audio feed of the meeting will be available in the Commissioners Old Meeting Building, located adjacent to the Historic Courthouse, but capacity in that space will be limited to 10 people. Additionally, the live audio feed will be available on the county website at www.halifaxnc.com.

This public notice supersedes all previous notices regarding limited public attendance availability.
