Four additional positive cases of COVID-19 are being reported by the Halifax County Public Health System.

That brings the total of positive cases in the county to 64, health system Director Bruce Robistow said in his update today.

He said the four additional cases were added Thursday.

There have been 405 confirmed tests performed in the county.

The breakdown of those tests is as follows:

64 positive cases; one related death; and 31 recoveries.

There are 22 test results pending and 319 known negative results.

The positive cases remain spread across the county.

Adding four positive cases on Thursday, Robistow said in the update, show the county’s trend is moving flat with a slight downward direction.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety, as of Thursday’s tally, reports 17 positive cases at Caledonia Correctional Institution in Tillery.
