The Halifax County Health Department reported this afternoon it is now aware of 942 confirmed COVID-19 tests performed on residents.

The breakdown is as follows:

164 positive cases; one related death and 109 patients recovered.

The approximate number of current cases can be calculated by subtracting the recoveries from the positive numbers.

There are 27 tests pending and 751 known negative results.

In his update this afternoon Health Director Bruce Robistow said, “Although there is a slight increase in positive cases reported, the trend line continues downward. Please continue to practice appropriate social distancing, handwashing, respiratory hygiene, and wearing a facial covering whenever you are out in public.” 

Northampton County

Currently, there are 149 total positive cases of which 105 have recovered, the health department reported this afternoon. There are 12 related deaths.
