More than 50 vendors have signed up for Saturday’s Liberty on Main event sponsored by Main Street Roanoke Rapids.

The event will include a parade on Hamilton Street and festival at Kirkwood Adams Community Center.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the railroad tracks at Fourteenth Street. It will proceed by Kirkwood and then to Eleventh Street.

The festival will be held following the parade through 3 p.m.

Main Street Development Director Ashley Thomas said there will be a hydration station with cold bottled water sponsored by the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Free hotdogs courtesy of AshleyStylez252 and Anchor’d Fitness will be available. There will be a giveback tent sponsored by His Hands of Roanoke Valley in partnership with Brightspeed.

A 25 x15 American flag has been provided by Wrenn Funeral Home.

The Roanoke Rapids Fire Department will do a splash down. Towels are recommended.

Thomas said Brightspeed has signed on as founding title sponsor.
