The Lake Gaston Association will hold its monthly membership meeting on Wednesday, September 2 at 9:30 a.m. at the Lake Gaston Baptist Church.

A sheriff’s forum focused on the races in Halifax and Northampton counties will be held.

The forum will feature incumbent Halifax County Sheriff Tyree Davis and challenger Tracy Story and incumbent Northampton County Sheriff Jack Smith and challenger Tony Burnette.

The one-hour session will be moderated by Jim Nystrom, LGA community & government relations chair. 

Each candidate will be allocated 15 minutes to present their top three priorities around the Lake Gaston area and why they are the most qualified candidate for this leadership position.

The church is located at 2378 Eaton Ferry Road across from the LKG Chamber of Commerce and Subway. Coffee and pastries from Lake Gaston Coffee Company will be available starting at 9 a.m.
