The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain A.M. Harris:
On Thursday shortly before noon Captain C.T. Hasty and Officer R. Battle of the Enfield Police Department located and arrested Torrey Armstrong, 44, of Bolling Road, Roanoke Rapids, in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Avenue on an outstanding warrant.
Narcotics Agent B.J. Murphy had obtained warrants on Armstrong for sell marijuana, deliver marijuana and possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana.
Armstrong received a $3,000 bond and January 20 court date.
On Thursday shortly before 5 p.m. agents and members of the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program executed a search warrant at a residence on Taft Street in Roanoke Rapids.
No items were seized during the search of the property.
Michael Carter, 46, of the residence was arrested on an outstanding warrant that had been obtained by Agent D.J. Epperson.
The warrant was from a search warrant that was executed at the residence Tuesday where cocaine, marijuana and pills were seized.
Carter was served the warrant for possession of cocaine and received a $25,000 bond with a January 20 court date.
