The District 6 North Carolina Guardian ad Litem Program has recently relocated their office from the Northampton County Courthouse in Jackson to the Hertford County Department of Social Services building in Winton. 

The new office is located at 704 N. King Street in Winton in building 164.

The District 6 Guardian ad Litem Program covers four counties — Bertie, Halifax, Hertford and Northampton —  and serves over 40 abused and neglected children utilizing over 15 volunteers.  The mission of the program, established in 1983,  is to provide trained volunteer child advocates to be a voice for children in the community.
