The Weldon Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Christopher Davis:
Saturday shortly after 6 p.m., Sergeant T. Mason responded to a motel in the 1600 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway about a domestic dispute which caused damage.
Mason discovered items were thrown from the second floor balcony and hit a guest’s vehicle. Items in the room were also damaged.

Christopher Lee Ervin Hartsell, 29, of Mount Holly, and Kelly Michelle Hunter, 29, of Stanley, were taken before a magistrate.
Hartsell was charged with assault on a female and damage to property. He was jailed without the opportunity for bond due to the domestic nature of the case.
Hunter was also jailed without opportunity for bond and was charged with simple assault and damage to property.
She received the same court date as Hartsell.
