The Halifax County Health Department today added 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 to its data.

The latest new positive cases bring the total number since March of last year to 5,606.

There have been 112 related deaths.

Vaccination clinic

ABC2 will host a community vaccination clinic on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its community farm located at 362 Williams Scott Road in Enfield.

The clinic is part of the Take Your Shot and Help Bring Back Summer Initiative.

The USDA Farm to Family distribution will begin at noon and there will be a community resource fair and cook out.

Masking continues at Vidant

Vidant continues to follow state and federal guidance on COVID-19 safety measures. 

Per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services guidance, Vidant will continue to operate under the existing COVID-19 guidelines, including mandatory masking for team members and visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
