As of today the Halifax County Health Department reports 5,665 total positive COVID-19 cases since March of last year. 

The latest numbers come as four new positive cases were reported today. There have been 112 related deaths.

Northampton County vaccination clinics

The Northampton County Health Department will hold a Pfizer vaccine clinic on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The health department is targeting ages 12 through 17 for the vaccinations.

Registrants must call the health department to schedule an appointment by Tuesday. The number is 252-534-5841.

Those 12 through 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

A Moderna COVID-19 vaccination clinic is scheduled for June 18 at Branches Chapel Missionary Baptist Church located at 610 Chapel Hill Church Road in Rich Square.

Time is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
