Roanoke Valley law enforcement reported the following:
Halifax County Sheriff’s Office
Chief Deputy Scott Hall reported on Friday around 9:30 p.m. Deputy D. Bybee conducted a vehicle stop on a 2007 Lexus for a revoked tag.
The stop was made on Highway 158 near Buttercup Lane just outside Roanoke Rapids.
A stolen Ruger .38 special handgun was located inside of the vehicle.
The weapon had been reported stolen on June 17, 2016 in Halifax County.

Bybee arrested Travis Davis, 31, and Jaiwane Pulley, 32, and charged them both with possession of a stolen firearm. Davis was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. Pulley received a $5,000 secured bond while Davis received a $10,000 secured bond and both men have a court date of December 23.
Roanoke Rapids Police Department
Chief Bobby Martin reported the department is seeking assistance with identifying a man who entered Big Lots on Sunday and stole $100 worth of merchandise.
