North Carolina American Legion Commander Jim Quinlan attended the Roanoke Rapids Shaw-May Post 38 meeting to present Roanoke Rapids High School Army JROTC Instructor Major Cynthia Bunch with the American Legion Department of North Carolina 2020 JROTC Officer Instructor of the Year Award. 

"Our Post was proud to nominate Major Bunch and believed from the outset she was well-deserving of this prestigious recognition," post Commander Dave Sammons said.
