The Halifax County Health Department, effective immediately, and while supplies last, is providing two N95 masks per person. 

Visit the health department at 19 North Dobbs Street in Halifax for mask pick-up. 

A limit of two N95 masks per person is also available at each of the following testing events:

Thursday at the Hattie P. Staton Senior Center – 1403 Church Street, Scotland Neck from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Saturday at Greater Joy North Church — 1711 E 10th Street, Suite 13, Roanoke Rapids from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friday, February 4 from Thomas Shield Community Center — 401 S. Beech Street, Hobgood  9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

Saturday, February 12 at Ivory Hill Baptist Church – 4505 Medoc Mountain Road, Enfield from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The mass COVID-19 testing event at the Roanoke Rapids Theatre — 500 Carolina Crossroads Parkway, Roanoke Rapids is ongoing. This event will run weekly, Monday through Friday through February 18. The hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

At each of the events, no registration or appointment is required. There are no out of pocket costs. Insurance is accepted but not required. 

This is a RT-PCR test with results within 12-24 hours of testing.
