The Halifax County Horse Council and the Halifax County Cooperative Extension Service have set dates for their 2022 Halifax Fun Horse Show Series.

The location is the Halifax 4-H Horse and Livestock Complex at 54 Dog Pound Road outside Halifax off Highway 903.

The dates are March 19, May 14, June 11, Dylan Moore Days on September 17 or 18, and October 15.

The rain date make-up is November 12 if needed.

For all dates, registration begins at 9 a.m. Shows begin at 10 a.m. and depending on attendance last to about 3 p.m.

Divisions include assisted riders; walk/trot only; ages 12 and under; ages 13 to 17; and 18 and over.

Cost is $8 per class or all 10 classes for $70.

Ribbons are awarded for first to sixth place and points are given for first to tenth place.

Year-end awards include grand champion and reserve champion in each division and eligibility is based on membership in the horse council.
