PETA sets straw giveaways in Northampton, Bertie

People for the Ethical Treatment for Animals is holding two straw giveaways on Friday.

Residents may pick up one bag of straw per dog for free to help insulate outdoor shelters.

One will be held in the Northampton County Health Department parking lot located at 9495 Highway 35 in Jackson from 9 a.m. to noon.

The other will be held in the former Domino’s parking in Windsor at 205 West Granville Street from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
