Two Halifax County high school students have each received $500 scholarships from the Boys 2 Men mentoring organization.

The scholarships were awarded in association with Kelly Sheppard and Michelle Bowen, according to Alvin Arrington, B2M founder and CEO.

Miketavious Ward, a graduate of Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy, will be attending North Carolina State University while Kishiy Jones, a graduate of Weldon STEM High School, will be attending Elizabeth City State University.
