This year’s Remembrance on the River will begin May 25 and run daily from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

On Sunday, May 28, the closing ceremony will be at 5 p.m. 

Remembrance on the River is a yearly event held on the banks of the Roanoke River in Weldon at River Falls Park to honor veterans.

This event is free to the public and includes:

North Carolina Vietnam Traveling Wall, owned and built by AMVETS Post 906 in Southport, Trees of Valor, Beirut Memorial, NC National Guard Mobile Museum, Lights of Valor, and a Field of Flags made up of flags placed in honor of past and present military family members who served  in the United States military. 

Food and craft vendors will be on site with music and special presentations throughout the event.

Civic groups and vendors are needed.
