Crystal Rapids Car Wash located at 1329 East Tenth Street in Roanoke Rapids recently joined the Roanoke Valley Rocks tour.
“This family-owned business continues the Halifax County Convention & Visitors Bureau’s efforts to raise awareness of local businesses in Halifax County,” said Lori Medlin, president and CEO of the bureau.
Jim Ferrier was the artist for the business’s fish.
Crystal Rapids has been in operation for over 45 years in the area with over a million cars washed to date.
They are open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and offer monthly memberships.
Each car wash purchased includes a free vacuum service.
Roanoke Valley Rocks is a public relations/public arts campaign which with the recent addition of Crystal Rapids includes 55 fish on the tour.
“They are designed to uplift and inspire our community and visitors,” Medlin said. “The Halifax County Convention & Visitors Bureau is committed to making the Roanoke Valley a great place to visit. This program has been successful because of the many local businesses that launched fish at their locations and supported the project.
