Three people, including a juvenile, sustained non-life threatening gunshot injuries after a fight broke out during a party in the 1000 block of Roanoke Avenue Saturday night.

Roanoke Rapids police Chief Shane Guyant said the circumstances of what led to the fight around 11:15 p.m. are unclear and it was also unclear who was shooting.

All three victims were transported to ECU North by private vehicles and were treated and released.

The specific location of the party — a building at 1012 Roanoke Avenue — had been rented out, Guyant said.
