The Halloween Booze It & Lose It started last Monday and ended Sunday.  

During the week Halifax County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted four traffic checkpoints and one saturated/random patrol throughout the county. 

Major Anzell M. Harris said the Enfield Police Department participated in two checkpoints with deputies.

Checkpoints were conducted:

Highway 301 at the Edgecombe County line Enfield

Highway 301 and Highway 481 Enfield

Arcola and Williams Road Hollister

Saturated patrol:

Highway 561 Hollister

During the events deputies cited people for 65 violations which included speeding, driving while license revoked, seat belt and expired registrations. 

The next campaign will be Thanksgiving Click It or Ticket beginning Monday, November 25 through Sunday December 1.
