Stella Sue Grigg Nelson, 68, of Garysburg, NC, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019.

A native of Halifax County she was born to the late Thomas Wilkins Grigg and Evelyn Frances Wooten Grigg.

Stella is survived by her daughter, Laura Jean Gums and her husband, Chris of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her ten grandchildren, Jessica Raab, Justin Gunter, Danielle Jones, Sara Jones, Samuel Jones and their mother, Melinda Jones, Hailey Gums, Alexandria Gums, Natalie Gums, Bonnie Gums and Dixie Gums; one Great-granddaughter, Isabella Masser; her brother, Tommy Grigg and his wife Kathi of Queen Creek, AZ; and her special friends, Debra Hopkins of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Hazel Johnson of VA.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 901 Park Ave. Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
