Margaret Catherine Kerr Price, 89, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids.

Mrs. Price was born in Charlotte, NC, July 31, 1929, to the late George Ingram and Ethel Blanche Robinson Kerr.

She attended Peace College as a Bible Scholar and dedicated her life to family and church.

She was a beloved wife and mother and a long-term active member of Jackson Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.  

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Whitney Price and four brothers, Robert Price Kerr, James Edward Kerr, Lee Garrison Kerr and Johnny Alexander Kerr.

Surviving are her three children, Floyd Whitney "Whit" Price, Jr. and wife, Anna Washington, of Chapel Hill, NC, Margaret Yvonne Price of Durham, NC, and Alice Catherine Price Tudor of Garysburg, NC; five grandchildren, Dr. Gypsy Price, Travis and Jonathan Tudor, Sarah and Nathaniel Gray. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Askew Funeral Service- Jackson Chapel, Jackson, NC Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 7-8:30 pm.

Rev. Warren Heitzenrater will conduct funeral services Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Jackson Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow in the Seaboard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made, in honor of Margaret Catherine Kerr Price, to the American Lung Association: 55 W. Wacker Dr. Suite 1150, Chicago, Illinois, 60601.
