Matthew Kyler Rogerson, 21, of Roanoke Rapids passed away September 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.  

He is the son of Kelsey and Jackie Braddy.  

Kyler is preceded in death by his great uncle Fred Rogerson.

Kyler earned the title of Eagle Scout which is the highest rank attainable in the Scouts.  

He enjoyed fishing, especially at the coast and night cat fishing on the Roanoke Rapids Lake. He also enjoyed deer, turkey, rabbit and squirrel hunting.  He was a member of the Neighborhood Hunting Club and enjoyed hunting with dogs.

He is survived by his parents Kelsey and Jackie Braddy of the home; his brother Hunter Braddy; his grandmother “Granny” Eva Rogerson of Roanoke Rapids and grandfather “Pop” Lynn Braddy of Simms, NC; his great aunts Rita Rogerson and Susan Rogerson both of Manteo; and his beloved dog Biscuit.

His smile could brighten the darkest of days and his kindness and gentleness will be missed by all who ever met him.

A private service will be held at a later date.
