Reginald “Reggie” Howell Collins, 88, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 26, 2023.

He is survived by his three children Judy Collins of Enfield, NC, Kathy Jones of Key West, FL, and Chris (Ruthie) Collins of Winterville, NC; his three grandsons Phillip Collins of Roanoke Rapids, Carson (Courtney) Collins of Greenville, NC, and Clarke Collins of Winterville, NC; his two great grandsons Wade and Davis Collins of Greenville, NC and his former wife Regina Collins of Enfield, NC.

Originally from Darlington, NC, Reggie was a well-known quarterback at Aurelian Springs High School, attended East Carolina University and moved to Enfield, NC where he began farming with his father-in-law.  

He was an active member of Darlington Baptist Church.  Later, he was a surveyor and a tobacco buyer for China American Tobacco Company.  He moved to Roanoke Rapids and attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Reggie was an avid fisherman and sportsman who also enjoyed dancing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on October 6, 2023 at Crestview Cemetery with Rev. Andy Sloan and Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
