Nicholas Paul Denton, 13, gained his angel wings and passed away May 7, 2026. 

He was born December 27, 2012. 

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Eddie L. Huffman and Aaron Denton; great grandparents Paul and Alma Hefner, after whom he was named.

Nicholas leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents Aaron and Dia Denton and brother Noah Denton of Enfield; aunt DeAnna Taylor (Ray) of Hickory; uncle Dane Huffman of Hickory; uncle Robert Denton (Maggie), Thomas Jackson Denton, Buck Denton; aunt Virginia Denton, Georgia Warren, Tennessee Waters(Robert), Cassie Denton; grandmothers Marie Huffman and Lesbia Denton; a host of cousins, his dog Daisy and his cat Pumpkin. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his special nurses Christina, Barbara, Cindy and Carolyn.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a visitation following. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation of Eastern NC. www.wish.org
