Steven Leroy Sledge
April 19, 1956 – September 27, 2021
Steven Leroy Sledge, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Monday.
He was born in Halifax County to the late Samuel Leroy Sledge.
He was a man of conscience who cared for his fellow man and especially children in need.
He was preceded in death by his wife, friend, & helpmate, Diana McGuinness Sledge, & daughter, Sarah.
He is survived by sons, Richard, Marcus, Joshua, Patrick, Michael, Jesse, daughter, Melissa, His mother, Sarah Trilby Floyd Sledge, brothers, Robert Sledge (Nancy), Scott Sledge (Tina), grandchildren, Matthew, Emma and Sarah.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following:
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St in Wendell.
A rosary service was offered from 9 am – 10 am, prior to the service.
