Jonathan Lynn Johnston, 26, died Tuesday, January 14, 2020. 

Jonathan was the son of the late Christopher Lynn Johnston. 

Also preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents; Barbara Dean Hedgespeth and Freddie James Johnston, his maternal grandfather; Earl Bernard Sanders Sr., and his uncle; Earl Bernard Sanders, Jr. An avid hunter and fisherman, Jonathan enjoyed life and was always known as “catbird” to his friends and family.

Jonathan is survived by his mother; Lisa Bellflower and her husband Jeremy, his maternal grandmother; Pauline Conwell, his brothers; James Johnston, Carl Johnston and his wife Shirley of Ripley, West Virginia, and Joseph Johnston and his wife Laura of Ripley, West Virginia, his sisters; Christina Johnston and fiance’ Josh Foster, Joanna Johnston, Sheila Small and her husband Benny of Suffolk, Virginia, and Angela Johnston and her fiance’ Huey Small, his uncle James Johnston and his wife Kim, his aunts; Joanne Cox and her husband Bobby and Amanda Capel and her husband Robert, many close friends, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Wrenn Clarke and Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Wrenn Clarke and Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
