Mildred Lee Moore Collier, lovingly called Millie, Mama, Grandma, and Mema, passed away on October 13, 2018, at the age of 98.  

She was born in Portsmouth, VA, October 2, 1920.  

She was predeceased by her father, Robert Lee Moore; mother, Mildred Pruden Mayfield; brother, Robert Lee Moore, Jr. and stepfather, James H. Mayfield.  

Survivors include her husband of 75 years, Marvin W. Collier; daughters June C. Chambliss, Carol C. Edwards and husband Bill; four grandchildren, Allyn M. Chambliss (Jay Hilow), Robert J. Chambliss (Dee Dee), Christopher T. Edwards (Marchele) and Andrea E. Midgette (Steve); seven great-grandchildren, William R. Edwards, Alissa C. Edwards, Jordan A. Chambliss, Emily A. Chambliss, Lauren G. Hilow, W. Jackson Midgette, and Brayden C. Midgette.  

She loved her family, cooking, traveling, square dancing, reading, fried chicken and ice cream.  A private memorial service will be held on a later date.

The family would like to thank Community Hospice of Roanoke Rapids, NC, for their care and kindness.
