Donald Mack Joyner, 92, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Lucy Joyner, brothers, Russell and J.D. Joyner and sister, Helen Suggs.
Mack is survived by his wife, Ruth Jordan Joyner, daughters, Kathy Diane Arp (Roy) and Darline Joyner Burgess (Daryl), grandson, Donald Arp (Caroline), great granddaughter, Amelia Leigh Arp, sisters in law, Ethel Revells and Carolyn Clay and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mack was married to Ruth for 73 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mack loved to fish and meet at the Shell Station to get his coffee. He never met a stranger and was always happy, Mack also enjoyed whistling; he was a great whistler. His favorite verse to quote was “why do I have to sit down, when I can lay down.”
Though he is no longer with us, the memory of Mack will live on in every sunrise over the water, every quiet fishing trip, and every warm cup of coffee shared among loved ones.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Wrenn Funeral Home starting at 11:00am. A funeral service will immediately follow starting at 12:00pm with Pastor Jullian Mills officiating. Interment will be private.
