It is with God’s peace that we announce Stanley Williams Faulkner, 80, of Roanoke Rapids, entered his Eternal Rest on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Stanley was born in in Roanoke Rapids on May 16, 1946, to the late Joseph Bejamin Faulkner and Ruth Williams Faulkner. After high school, Stanley joined the U.S. Navy where he faithfully served for five years and was a Machinist’s Mate Third Class before his honorable discharge. Stanley later worked for Georgia-Pacific where he was head of maintenance at an OSB Plant until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was an avid reader, had an assortment of books that he enjoyed and collected, but was keenly drawn to Bible Commentaries which enriched his faith as he studied God’s Word.

In addition to his parents, Joseph and Ruth, Stanley is also preceded in death by three of his sisters, Sylvia Newsome, Frances Jacobs, and mostly recently, Mary Carwile, who passed away a month before him.

Stanley leaves to cherish his memory his son, Paul J. Faulkner (Tiffany); brother, Ralph Faulkner; nephews, Ronnie Carwile and Kenny Newsome; niece, Debbi Newsome Robertson; and many extended family members and friends.
