The family is deeply saddened to share that Ashley Diane Bradshaw, 35, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2026. 

Ashley was born on October 15, 1990, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina before relocating with her family to Gaston just over a decade ago. She loved “Hippie Stuff”—especially old Volkswagen vans and she loved music. She would always have something playing, whether Classic Rock, Old School Country, Morgan Wallen, or belting out Ella Langley’s, “Choosin’ Texas.” As Cole Swindell sings in his song, “You Should Be Here” her family agrees but also struggles with wondering why Ashley was taken so young. Their comfort comes through the words of the song by Casting Crowns, and knowing that for Ashley there are no “Scars in Heaven.”

Ashley was never too concerned with clothing but always chose jean shorts whenever she could because those were her favorite thing to wear. Add a splash of teal, or a shade of pink and she was set for whatever the day brought her way. Ashley enjoyed fishing, and was able to teach her son, Hunter, her love for fishing as well. Hunter fondly remembers catching his first catfish a couple years ago with his mom right there by his side. 

Ashley is preceded in death by her father, David Terry Bradshaw, who passed away in 2023; paternal grandparents, Stanley and Pauline Bradshaw; and maternal grandfather, Edward Merl Wallace. 

Ashley leaves to cherish her memory her adoring son, Hunter Weaver; mother, Debbie Wallace Bradshaw; brother, Andy Bradshaw and his life partner, Ashley Brake; maternal grandmother (Nanny), Vetter Wallace; niece, Layla Smith; nephew, Layne Bradshaw; boyfriend, Michael Hayes; and numerous friends who will miss her dearly. 

A Memorial Service to celebrate Ashley’s life will be announced at a later date.
