Joseph Eligah Jordan, 94, of Gaston, NC, died Monday March 15, 2021, at NC Memorial Hospital, in Chapel Hill, NC.

Mr. Jordan was born in Northampton County, NC the son of the late Samuel Jordan and Essie Hodges Jordan. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Fannie Whitehead, Allie Goodman and Betty Edwards and three brothers, Jack, Sam “Boodler” and Billy Jordan.

Joe served in the U. S. Air Force, and retired from J. P. Stevens & Co. with 38 years of service. He was the former Minister of West 8th Street Christian Church, in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Surviving are: his wife Martha Conner Jordan; a son Earl T. Jordan of Gaston, NC: a sister Clarie Gay of Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The Family will receive Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, at Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 11:00 AM, in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC, with Minister Daniel West officiating.
