Elizabeth “Ann” Floyd Johnson, 86, of Canton, NC, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, NC died, Monday, April 12, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

“Ann” was born in Halifax County, NC the daughter of the late early May Floyd and Volina Floyd. She was the widow of Gilbert Andrew Johnson, who died September 3, 1984. She was a former employee of Carolina Clothing and also worked with the Roanoke Rapids Public Library. 

She is survived by: a daughter Susan Johnson Umphlett of Sylva, NC; a son, Kenneth Wayne Johnson of Asheville, NC; a sister Mary Dunlow of Roanoke Rapids, NC and two brothers Wilbur Floyd and Richard Floyd, both of Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Graveside services will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Friday, April 16, 2021, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Rex Evans, officiating.
