Calvin Dean Connell, 88, of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Connell, Parents, Vance and Lossie Connell, and brother, Pete Connell.
Calvin is survived by his sons, Mark Connell (Karen) and Rodney Connell (Shantea), daughters, Rhonda Keesee (Doug), Wendy Robinson (Chris), and Kelly Tant (A.C.), sister, Melinda Speight, grandchildren, Cory Dill (Colby), Casey Clay (Eric), Sarah Butts (Michael), Bailey Warren (Tyler), Luke Robinson, Alexis Tant, A.C. Tant III, Taylor Morris (Garrett), Hunter Connell, Zackery Connell, and Sydney Connell, great-grandchildren, Noah Dill, Carter Dill, Saylem Warren, Brady Clay, Jack Morris, Camden Butts, and Maddie Butts.

Calvin was a member of New Testament Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with his family. A very special thank you to his caregivers, Peggy Fajna, Kathy Allen, Christina Andertin, and Kim Crutchlow.

Funeral services will be held at Wrenn Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 11:00 am with Randy Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
