Randall Lowray Barnes Jr.,known by his loved ones as "Ran", a life- long resident of Roanoke Rapids passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, at the age of 57.  

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Duncan, D.J. Taylor who was like a son to him, his nephew and niece Dawson and Alyssa Duncan, his sister-in-law Denise (Robbie) Norwood, and many close friends who he loved dearly.  

He was preceded in death by his brother Blake Duncan, his father Randall Barnes, his Maternal grandparents Curtis and Mildred Massey, and paternal grandparents, Lowray and Lizzie Barnes, all of Roanoke Rapids.

Ran loved to laugh and make others laugh, He was an avid NC State fan and loved to cheer them on. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially adored his faithful dog, Pearl.

Friends and family will meet at New Testament Church at 615 Jackson Street in Roanoke Rapids on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 12:00pm for visitation, funeral services will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Daniel West officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate monetary donations to help cover Ran's funeral expenses.
