Edna Earl Mayes High, 95, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. High, parents, Robert O. Mayes and Maude Estelle Keeter Mayes, children, Thomas Wayne High, Mary Estelle High, and Janice Ann High, grandchild, Patricia High Temple, brothers, Robert, Richard, James, sisters, Bessie, Varnell, Bernice and Deloris.

Edna is survived by her son, Joseph Aaron High and daughter, Joyce High Jordan (Scott), grandchildren, Thomas W. High Jr., Alex Ansley, Kris Ansley, Johnny Proctor, Melissa Wade, Joseph A. High II, Jennie High Foster, Janice Nichole Ayscue, Lisa Marie Bennett and Wesley Scott Jordan, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Edna enjoyed making crafts. She retired from the Bibb Company, she also was a caregiver. Edna loved her family, Christmas, being on the lake and outdoors. Edna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00am in Cedarwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome at the family house to visit, 815 Ransome Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870.
