Early on during the pandemic, healthcare worker Beth Blanchard started a Facebook page called Wishlist for Healthcare Workers. 

Shortly after, the group reached 10,000 members of healthcare workers all over North Carolina. The group allowed members the opportunity to share words of encouragement and gift one another from an Amazon wishlist. 

Back in September, the administrator started a GoFundMe page for a scholarship to be given to someone within the group who planned to further their education in health science. 

Alice Anne Smith, manager of regional operations at Vidant Family Practice, donated early on. She later passed away on March 11, 2021 and it was a complete tragedy to our small community. 

We are asking for anyone who would like to contribute, in her honor, to please do so before July 1, 2021.
