The Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District will be conducting its annual unidirectional flushing exercise beginning Monday, April 14 throughout the city of Roanoke Rapids and town of Gaston.
The Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District Board will meet Tuesday at the business office at 5 p.m.
General Statute 143.215.1C requires that the owner or operator of any wastewater collection or treatment works issue a press release when an untreated wastewater discharge of 1,000 gallons or more reaches surface waters.
