ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) has been named an Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America, it was announced Wednesday. It's the second such honor of Williams' career.

Williams earned the Second Team honor after a tremendous year on the court and in the classroom. The North Carolina native is a double-major in Computer Science and Accounting and received a similar Second Team honor in 2017-2018 for her work in the classroom as a sophomore. This year as a senior, Williams led the team and the conference in points and rebounds on the court. She was named the ODAC Player of the Year and the ODAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player. She will leave Randolph-Macon with the record for most career rebounds in both the ODAC and school history as well as second in school history for total points. She was a leader in the nation for double-doubles this year, finishing with 22.

In the classroom, Williams is a three-time ODAC All-Academic team member and is this year's ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Women's Basketball. Williams is also a finalist for the Jostens Trophy, which recognizes players that have success in all three phases of the game: on the court, in the classroom and in the community.

Williams has been named a finalist for a spot on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star rolls.
