Early Lead for Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity softball team Sets Stage for Victory Over Warren County

Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity jumped out to an early lead over Warren County and took home a 21-2 victory on Friday. Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity scored on a walk by Karlee Hammack, a single by Makayla Pair, a walk by Lizzy Colston, a walk by Kalyn Long, a double by Meredith Wilson, and a single by Abbi Carpenter in the first inning.

Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity notched ten runs in the third inning. Carpenter, Cassidy Dickens, Hammack, Colston, Long, and Wilson all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Dickens got the win for Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity. She allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Kalisha Harrison took the loss for Warren County. She allowed 16 hits and 21 runs over four innings, striking out two.
