Lady Vikings tag out Lady Royals in season opener

The Halifax Academy Lady Vikings softball team returned to play Wednesday afternoon opening their 2021 season at home with a win.

The Lady Vikings hosted a non-conference game against Riverside Christian Academy Lady Royals from Fayetteville,  The Lady Vikings won 13-0 in five innings.

 

Halifax Game Stats:

Ashton Garner 2 doubles, 2 RBI

Berkley Garner 2 singles, 3 RBI

Ashlyn Cooke 3 singles, 1 RBI

Morgan Hudomint 1single, 1 RBI

Ashlynn Liles 1 single, 1 RBI

Emerson Poole 1 single

Ashton Knight 1 single, 3 RBI

Mayson Daniels 1 single, 1 RBI

 

Pitching Ashlyn Cooke Faced 15 batters, 9 K’s, 0 BB

 

The Vikings are 1-0 and will travel to Cape Fear this weekend for a season opener tournament.
